…We kept our promise and worked our magic!

On hearing, one will expect Dubai to be a place for shopping and holidaying in a mystic-Arabian cultural setting. But, just when you think it… you almost immediately come to LOVE Dubai.

You discover then, that Dubai is MORE… what I like to call “The Moving city”.
We were not first-timers but with every wedding we set out to plan and design… The Destination seems re-born…

Our designs, for this wedding was born way back in Nigeria before we set off to plan this remarkable wedding in June…

There are many things to share from our luxurious time at the wonderful and magnificent J.W.M Marquis Hotel to our site seeing on board the automated Metro system… the shopping extravaganza at the Dubai Mall, I dare say, we felt it!

Oaken team put together their wands and the décor you see is both a realization of the Couple’s dream and an inspiration from an unforgettable ambience!

From the votive candles, monogrammed chairs and the different hues of purple with a personal champagne bucket in a space filled with exotic and natural flowers; we defined the couple’s signature!

In the end, Oaken recognizes that every client is special and we strive to create breath-taking experiences that capture the occasion and leave a lingering sense of awe for everyone.

Mexico has always been in my mind’s eye a place of contrast, culture, friendliness, music and of course romance!

When we started playing with the idea of planning and designing the wedding of a lovely Edorian Nigerian Groom and an African American Bride we knew a great responsibility had been bestowed upon us. As wedding planners we always look for fun and romantic venues where we can create a memorable experience for our couples.        

So, when the couple said; “Mexico”

We could not agree more.

It was perfect.

This 2 lovebirds decided to say “I Do” in Cancun , Mexico.  Thoughts of their wedding makes me want to escape to Cancun once more, just throw in a few things in my backpack, catch the next flight out, and bury my feet in the sandy beach while sipping  on a glass of freshly made sunset margarita and munching on some tacos!

 

Till The day they said “I do”;

And they will live happily ever after!

A 30th birthday bash took our team to plan and orchestrate a magnificent and amazing event for our client in Ibiza, Spain.
Whoever said that turning 30th is no fun, should think again.

Ibiza… Changed all that! For our client, we made being 30 super exciting and fun-tastic!

30, we realized is the new age of adventure!

From water-boarding games and rides onboard the Catamaran to Formentera and the swift swinging to the Barbecue party and live show at CanXuXu… It was an indescribable feeling!

And with all the fire dancing?  Well…

Some say it was simply “it!”

 

The boutique villa were the guest were hosted in; is an epic property that has” kept its original flavor, a beautiful combination of Ibizen can style and ethnic modern Asian touches that create a unique harmony.”
One time out at the Blu Marlins and Pacha night club, left all guests’ with an unforgettable ecstatic experience and  I must say for those to whom may be told about Canxuxu… Enviable cherished memories!

A Red, Black and White Affair!

Too many words may not tell this wedding story right, but people say; ” we met the couples demand for more”!

We will always remember the excitement that came with the months of planning  involved with this couples dream wedding!

Let’s not forget that it was an A-list Celebrity wedding…One many Nigerians at home and in Diaspora had started counting down too.

The couples had exquisite taste and their major  inspiration was L-O-V-E;  hence the grand elegant floral arrangement of red roses that lined the entrance, fantastic music by the String Crotchet and the pristine beach front setting for the ceremony at Jumeirah.

We at Oaken needed to be made of more to pull this!

Going to Dubai to execute the most talked about celebrity wedding  was one thing,  creating the couples imagination was another…

As the gates opened and ushered in the Bride with her arms inter-twined in her father’s… it was time!
